The Brazilian dribbling magician Ronaldinho
Gaucho has announced plans to retire from the game in a year’s time –
and plans to enter the music world going forward.
The former FC Barcelona and AC Milan playmaker has been back playing in his homeland the past few years as his career winds down, and has now admitted that at 36, the time to hang up the boots might be just around the corner.
“I am an old man now, I am 36,” he told reporters at a press conference in New York Tuesday. “I am no longer 26 like I once was, and I am looking at what I can do to mark an end to my career. The plan is to play one more year.”
Ronaldinho then hinted that music might just be his future.
“I am immersed in new projects, related to music and football which are, as you know, my two passions,” he said. “I am looking at new things that I have always liked and we will see what we will do this year.”
