A week ago, the Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu through the office of his Chief Press Secretary, directed residents of Aba who parked their cars or vehicles along all newly constructed and others roads in Aba metropolis to remove them or face severe penalties.
He further mandated the Traffic & Indiscipline Management Agency of Abia State (TIMAAS), to take actions necessary to make sure such vehicles are removed from the roads. It was in this light, that a team of TIMAAS led by Mr Bright Chinedu Ikeokwu, yesterday, swung into action at the newly constructed Ochefu road on realizing that the road has been converted to parking lots and mechanic garage by some unpatriotic drivers and owners of heavy duty vehicles. The defaulters were arrested and taken to their command post as the cars were also removed.
